We the people ask the federal government to Propose a new Administration policy:

Make disclosure of tax returns a legal requirement for congressional and presidential candidates.

Created by R.L. on August 14, 2016

The influence of big money in politics affects every American. A small handful of wealthy donors, special interests, and foreign nationals have more influence over American elections than do we the people. Those who aspire to lead us, those who will be in a position to reward those special interests, must disclose their tax returns as a basic requirement for holding high public office.

Candidates would not be required to disclose their returns to the public unless they choose to do so, but rather a bipartisan congressional committee.
