Thousands of men are learning they are not the father of the children they raised and cared for. Paternity fraud is rampant.
Differences/inequities in state legislation and societal perceptions add to the problem. Unfortunately, society views a man requesting proof of paternity as trying to get out of supporting his child. However, mothers are often allowed use paternity tests in court to deny custody, rights and access.
Further, every child deserves the right to know from whom they came, and that their mother is not carrying on a deception of who their natural paternal father is. Upon birth a simple DNA test from saliva will prevent this fraud.
For moral, ethical and legal reasons this petition requests the Administration make paternity DNA testing at birth mandatory in all states.
