Make Drivers Education Federally Mandatory in all States

Created by M.S. on December 14, 2012

The state of Tennessee and several other Southern states do not require Driver's Education. With this lack of education of the rules of the road, the streets and highways of these states are dangerous. Most people in my state of Tennessee do not use their blinkers, they fail to obey street signs, they cause accidents yearly, they speed weaving in and out of traffic without signaling cutting off other drivers on the road, and no one does anything to prevent it. In most southern states you only need to know how to drive a tractor to get a license.

Driver's education needs to be mandatory in all states, not just a few. 957 lives alone have been lost in Tennessee due to no mandatory drivers education.

Make Driver's Education a federal requirement to get a license in all States.
