We call on President Obama, Congress and the house to make E-verify mandatory for all businesses of all sizes. The system should be able to verify identity, age and legality to work.
This would be retroactive for any business with a reasonable amount of time allocated for businesses to comply.
This should include payment by any method, including 1099.
Penalties for those found to be illegal should include a fine and immediate deportation. This should also include identity theft, for whatever reason.
This should be prosecuted under the RICO statutes, including forfeiture of assets and large fines.
Jail time should not be included. It should simply be a penalty of deportation, with no chance for re-entry within 10 years.
