Make easier access to our big game on federal lands by restoring access to established roads already created.

Too many good established trails are being closed by the USFS, making access to good hunting much more difficult. Hunting fees keep rising at the state level, fuel costs keep going up, and our access is being shut off, due to trail closures. The formula for acres of land and miles of roads is flawed and unnecessary. Also, the non-residents commit the least amount of game offenses, but pay the major share of game departments budget. For instance, a Colorado resident pays $49 for an elk tag, and a non-resident pays $604 to hunt elk on land that belongs to all U.S. citizens. If the established trails were at least kept open, it would make the fee systems at least more bearable.
