We are not #1 when it comes to the education of our children. This is a sad fact and should concern all Americans. Not every family can afford to send their children to private schools, so we need to raise the education standard across the country. If you feel this does not affect you then you are wrong. Education affects many elements of our country (e.g., crime, poverty, economy, etc etc). We live in the greatest country in the world yet our educational statistics say otherwise.
Regarding college, why is that grants are afforded to one group and difficult to obtain to hard working families who cannot afford the cost of college for their children, but according to goverment standards they make to much to qualify. I am speaking about the working poor.
