The current education system was designed for when people needed to be groomed to work for factories, trained to do one thing and not actively think for themselves. Rather than changing with the times, our education system has been stuck in the past and has even gotten to the extent that the amount of work assigned to students causes mental and physical health problems. Our students deserve a chance to get ahead in the society that is stacked automatically against anyone who isn't in the upper class by birth. We demand examination of our schools, especially in comparison for how other countries teach, and to have our public school system updated and redone in such a way that it will actually benefit your students rather than harming them.
