Set the salary of all senators and reps to the average for a US citizen. That would be about $52,000 a year. That would save the government roughly $122,000 per senator and rep. I found that there is 535 senators and reps. That means the US government would be saving $65,270,000 yearly, give or take. This would solve many problems.
1. Only people who want to help would want the job of a senator or representative.
2. The better job they do, the more money the average American makes, the more money they make.
Oh, and if they don't do their jobs, they should be fired or paid minimum wage like every other American
