make an effort to replace highways with vehicle carrying trains (like the Chunnel) to reduce reliance on foreign oil.

Created by K.M. on September 23, 2011

Use the infrastructure part of the jobs bill to innovate and improve rather than maintain the status quo.

Building a network of large trains that will carry both passengers and vehicles will reduce the US dependency on oil, create many jobs in both construction and operations, allow people to keep their vehicles, but not spend as much on gasoline, help the environment by reducing greenhouse gas production.

These trains would be like the Chunnel trains. Capable of carrying vehicles and passengers farther and faster than the highway system.
