I am hoping to get this petition passed as making Eid a federal holiday. It is not fair that Christians, Jews and others get to openly celebrate their holidays as If those are the only ones that exist. For those who do not celebrate those holidays do not have the advantage of being treated equally when it comes to religion. Freedom of religion is in the civil rights. There are millions of Muslims around the world who do not get to celebrate Eid with their families because of havingto go to school or work. Those who do get to celebrate are being in their work. It is not fair and should be fixed. Muslims are people. People have rights. Where are ours? make Eid a national holiday. Give us one day off for Eid al adha and one day off for Eid al udha. Is that too much to ask for?
