Elected officials should fall under the same policies they write for the general public to include the most recent health care law (Obama Care). In addition to being elected these same officials should not be privileged enough to receive a retirement check after 4 yrs of service as our founders noted the positions to be of voluntary status. When the elected officials have separate health and retirement benefits than the general public it creates an observable trend that they are elitists to the same people whom elected them.
