Fellow Americans, now is the time to help our elected officials come up with a solid plan to actually reduce the deficit. I propose that all elected officials in our government need to be subject to the same health care and retirement programs they are implementing for all other american citizens like you and I. They should surrender their special programs and join the remainder of us who rely on Medicare, Social Security, and 401k plans. Perhaps then, clarity will be improved and real solutions to the issues we face as a nation can be implemented.
