Election Day should be a federal holiday so that people who work on a Tuesday can go to the polls and vote with convenience. Another alternative would be to make Election Day on the weekend.
Voting is the foundation of democracy. If we can celebrate Washington's birthday and 4th of July (all holidays dedicated to the nation's founding as a new democracy), we should be able to celebrate our right to exercise our democracy.
