Make Election Day a Federal Holiday

We petition the Obama Administration to make Election day a federal holiday as a means to a smoother election process. Record lines in swing states such as Florida and Ohio are deterring potential voters from having their say in recent elections.
Obama recently touted voting reform, but hasn't addressed reducing the waiting that many people have to go through. Making election day a federal holiday will allow citizens to vote at any time they want, and reduce the long lines that come after the work day ends. We implore the Obama administration to allow us, the citizens of this country, to have our voice be heard.
