Casting your vote is the most important tool one can use to shape his or her government and the way in which it rules. The vote is your voice when one lives under the rule of democracy. The importance of election day deserves to be acknowledged by recognizing it as a federal holiday. By doing so greater voting opportunities would be opened up to the public and create a government more reflective of the citizens over which it rules. Civic engagement in this country is extremely low and measurable actions need to be taken to ensure it's growth. Please join me in this petition and thank you for your time.
