Voting is a quintessential right in this country, but all too often, voters are unable to vote in person due to the various obstacles in our lives. By amending 5 U.S.C. § 6103 to include November's general election day as a federal holiday, it encourages individuals to exercise their civic responsibility. Many Americans died so that we could vote for our government's leaders. We should honor their sacrifice by designating election day as a federal holiday.
