We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Make Election Day a Federal Holiday

Created by M.S. on November 12, 2016

This year, voter turnout was incredibly low. In order to ensure that every American has the opportunity to exercise their right to vote, we ask that Election Day become a federal holiday. Voting and having a say in our democracy should be a right in practice and not in theory, or it is not a right at all. Election Day is unique in that it is an actionable holiday, and a reason to be excused from work that has a tangible purpose other than to celebrate or reflect.
