Make Election Day a National Federal Holiday to ensure all citizens are given an opportunity to vote.

Created by C.D. on September 04, 2014

In all countries - EXCEPT THE U.S.A. - general elections are either held on a Sunday and/or declared a public holiday to enable as many voters as possible to participate. Considering that Americans have been forced to work longer hours just to make ends meet, while simultaneously being forced to stand and wait in increasingly longer lines at the polls, it is absolutely imperative that Americans safeguard their right to vote by demanding that election day be declared a National Federal Holiday. Failing that, we may as well give up any pretense of being a Republic, much less a democracy.
