Past administrations have created new holidays such as Veterans Day and Labor Day. I believe that voting is important enough to warrant a holiday of its own, so I propose making Election Day a national holiday. This would also eliminate the excuse that many nonvoters give of "I don't have time to vote because I'm busy working!"
