Make Election Day A National Holiday

Election day should be a day when we involve ourselves fully in our democracy. The individual's right to vote and our nations democracy should be given the time needed to fully function and be realized. Make election day a national holiday so that citizens will have the time to learn who their candidates are, the details of the issues being put to vote, and the best opportunity to make it to the polls and cast their vote. Election day should be made a national holiday, America's National Democracy Day so all of our citizens can fully participate in and honor our democracy.
