Make Election Day a National Holiday!

We have all seen the facts. The number of votes in the system each Election Day does not even come close to the total number of eligible voters...It is about half. This needs to change. Going out of one’s way to vote after a long day on the job can be too much of a burden on many hardworking Americans. Rather than simply encourage everyone to vote, together let’s petition the government to make Election Day a national holiday and end the excuses not to vote. It is our right and nothing should stand in the way. Other countries have already done so and have increased their voter turnout, so there is no reason we should not do the same. It’s time reboot our democracy!
