We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Make "Election Day" a National Holiday.

Created by L.R. on November 02, 2016

My name is Lucas Rodriguez. I am 24 year old hispanic male from Tucson, Arizona. I've been political engaged and voluntarily active for quite some time now, but like many, I was reignited through the hope of the Bernie Sanders Campaign. I am one of many people living in this state of Arizona who has seen voter suppression cost us thousands and thousands of votes.
To my dismay, I could not phathom what more to do in a state where no matter how much I tried, the votes still were not adding up. Every day since, and every day counting down to the most important election in US American History, I request this petition...
Let's make "Election Day" a National Holiday.
My intention is clear; let's get rid of voter suppression once and for all.
For everyone,
Lucas Rodriguez.
