We the people ask the federal government to Propose a new Administration policy:

Make Election Day a National Holiday

Created by J.D. on November 07, 2016

Election Day should become an American Holiday to allow voters ample time to vote, and because it is important to educate our children.
Voters who are unable to make it to the polls and vote for their government often are unable to vote due to their busy lives. If Election Day is an American holiday, more people will be able to get to voting locations and help their country.
The Election is also incredibly important to our youth, who will be most influenced by the next President of the United States. Giving them a holiday to celebrate and prepare for the election would make them more aware of this monumental occasion.
