In an effort to increase participation in our democracy we must make reforms. Election day should be made a holiday both to celebrate our democracy and give those who work the day off. By increasing the convenience of voting more people will vote. We all want greater participation in our democracy, and this is one step in achieving that goal. We cherish and value freedom and democracy. Thus a celebration is in order. The best way to celebrate is to vote, something we all should do. But for some life is too busy and hectic. The day off will enable them to vote or just try to get ahead. If election day is made a holiday it would be logical to move it to Monday, creating a three day weekend rather than having a Tuesday off. Sign the petition! Lets improve our democracy! One step at a time!
