Make Election Day a national holiday to ensure that every American is able to vote free from the stress of daily life.

Created by T.T. on November 14, 2012

The chaos of everyone trying to vote on Election Day could largely be avoided if we simply made Election Day a national holiday. This could be done once every four years without severe disruption to our economy, and this would ensure that every American would be able to vote without fear of reprisal from the workplace. This would significantly increase voter turnout and the vitality of our American democracy.
