This petition asks the President of the United States to issue an Executive Order declaring Election Day (the Tuesday right after the first Monday in November) a Federal Holiday. This will allow all federal workers to vote in upcoming elections unfettered by work obligations. This will also set an example to the Congress to follow with similar legislation to declare Election Day a National Holiday.
