Make electric economical - Cancel Tesla Motor's patents to accelerate public adoption of electric vehicles

Created by R.O. on April 08, 2014

Make electric attractive and economical: The range limit and economics (cost) of most electric vehicles makes them unattractive and uneconomical to new car buyers.

Tesla Motors has patented the technology to maximize electric vehicle range to near that of an internal combustion engine (attractive to consumers), but Tesla has set a price for their Model S far above (2 - 3x the average ICE vehicle) that which is affordable to the average consumer. Due to accelerating CO2 emissions and climate change, faster adoption of renewable energy based energy vehicles is needed. For the sake of CO2 emissions and global climate change, cancel Tesla's patents and allow other car companies to compete and produce an electric car that the average consumer can afford.
