Every day in this country, family pets disappear out of backyards only to end up as bait dogs in dog fighting rings across the United States. Since states are not doing their due diligence to stop dog fighting or to prosecute those who participate in dog fighting to the fullest, we, the undersigned, ask that you step in and begin a nationwide crack down. We demand justice for the pets stolen, lost, and abused, as well as for the families who have suffered because of the brutal crime of dog fighting. Every dog killed at the hands of dog fighters deserves their day in court.
