Eighty-four percent (84%) of Americans say English should be the official language of the United States, while only nine percent (9%) disagree. 31 state have already adopted English as their official language which is a majority. Having a single language would make conducting business more efficient as well as save money by only printing signs and advertisements in one language. Also, language barriers can cause injury to employees by the inability to effectively communicate dangers in the workplace. In order for the United States to truly be united we need a single language.
