We the people ask the Obama administration to make English the official language in the United States of America. Let us look back to the Declaration of Independence and Constitution. These are both written in English. Our Founding Fathers came overseas to this land. They helped establish this nation. The language they used to communicate was English. Making English America's official language means that all printed text must be in English. For example, a newspaper must print their articles in English, and can then decide if they want to make those articles available in Spanish, French, etc. It also means that when a citizen calls an automated customer service on the phone, the service creators can decide whether or not customers have access to the service in another language.
