Make english the official language of the U.S.

I am a 20 year vet of the US military and have a B.S. in Education, and it is a shame that I have to look at the pictures on the boxes in WalMart. This happens because we do not require everyone in this country to read and write English. We should not spend another dime on "English as a Second Language" in the school system until everyone is taught one language.
