make English the official national language of the United States of America.

Created by V.M. on December 18, 2012

Enact a law making English the official national language of the United States of America thereby requiring anyone new seeking entry into the United States to learn how to read, write and speak English. This will eliminate the multitude of languages required on packaging, contracts, during news programming, on billboards and store signage and windows; but, most importantly it makes those who wish to make the United States their home personally responsible for learning the language and teaching it to their children rather than making the United States government responsible for providing employees to speak, understand and translate when citizens, or potential citizens of this country should all be required to speak English in public settings and when requesting assistance in a public forum
