Make Entitlement Programs Solvent

Created by K.S. on September 24, 2011

To make entitlement programs solvent, they must be connected to economic markets--ways of using tax dollars to: 1) stimulate the economy, 2) provide a return on investment, and 3) pay for the services the government offers. I propose that tax dollars be invested in the following: in select private business startups (in the form of small loans at reasonable returns--i.e. microloans), corporate dividend-producing stocks, and proven hedge-funds. Think about the returns that the government made with bailout funds--but able to provide a benefit for local businesses too. Government should serve the people by providing a bit of money so people can become self-employed. Also, if the Government were smart enough to legalize drugs, money from the tax of these substances should go to healthcare.
