The United States pay around $115,000 per student. With this amount of money, you might think that the quality of education students are receiving is enough to make US education system a contender against the rest of the world.
If you believe so, you are wrong. According to an international ranking of the OECD countries, the American education system is nothing but mediocre -- 17th among the 34 that were tested.
The Slovak Republic who scores similar to the US, only spends $53,000. So where is all that money going? Don't you think its time for the government to make the education of the upcoming generation a priority?
