Since this horrific incident at the Sandy Elementary School in Newtown, CN we need to really look at our mental health programs. I know there are several people living on the streets that have grave mental issues and they act out all the time. We just tend to over look these issues. Yes the President talks about having a great health plan. The number one topic should be how are we going to improve on the mental health programs. We just think that by putting someone in a prison that has a mental health issue is the right thing to do but it is not. They do not get treatment or care in there for those types of issues. I can tell you first hand that there are men in the prisons today that have grave mental problems and this is not the answer to caring for them.
