I believe every American has the right to have pets. I do not believe it should matter if you rent or own your home. Pets have a theraputic effect on most people and I do not think this should be taken away because you rent you home. I believe landlords should be able to do scheduled monthly checks to ensure the property is being maintain without damage due to the pets.
