Right now the powerball lottery is $550,000,000. According to the US Census Bureau there are 314,848,468 people in the US. Instead of drawing fro a winning ticket give everyone $1,000,000 and then do away welfare. Also for Social Security stop paying out and save to earn interest. Would still have $235,151,532 left over for government debt. Then by not paying welfare and paying out SS that could be used for debt as well. Also would help economy. Make a stipulation though that you have to pass a drug screen to receive money.
