Men and women in the U.S. may join the military, serve their country, and possibly lose their life at 18 years of age. They choose to serve of their own free will. If a man or woman can serve their country and fight in war then is it not reasonable to make an exception and allow them to drink? Anyone under the age of 21 is considered a minor and with that label it is assumed that they do not have the responsibility to do certain things such as partake in alcoholic beverages. If they can fight to protect other's right to revelry then they should have that right themselves. By allowing those who serve our country this small exception we will be providing an acknowledgement that we all believe that they should have all the rights that they so bravely protect.
