Make existing and future federal students loans interest free.

Created by A.O. on November 13, 2015

America's student loan debt problem has grown to unmanageable proportions. Student loan debt stands at more than $1.2 trillion. This is hurting our economy and the ability of millions of educated Americans to live financially secure lives. The government should make all existing and future federal loans interest free. Allow students who have federal educational debt to pay off only what they actually owe, the principal. Stopping the suffering of additional interest payments that increase their debt and hurt their financial futures. The government should not be making money off of current students and graduates in the form of student loan interest.
