A reasonable limit to individual wealth should be established-- say, 500 million dollars. There is no legitimate reason for any one person to amass billions of dollars.
A recent study has shown that world poverty could be completely eradicated using only one FOURTH of just LAST YEAR'S profits "earned" by the world's 100 wealthiest individuals.
Extreme wealth hoarding needs to be understood as a mental disorder in the same way that we classify object-hoarding behaviors. Wealth hoarding is worse though, because it deprives billions of a decent life, condemning them to extreme poverty, sickness, and hunger.
No economic principal or ideology could possibly outweigh this injustice-- people matter more than profits, lets stop the mindless worship of and obsession with money.
