If you're a college student, you are definitely familiar with the dreadful, long and complicated process of FAFSA.
We want the Obama administration to:
- Lower the age of independency from 24 to 18: there are many cases in which a student has lived away from his/her family from an early age but are still ineligible for FAFSA. These students have been "independent" from their families, they have worked jobs and filed their own taxes, and yet they cannot apply for FAFSA as independent until they are 24. We want President Obama to address this issue so FAFSA can be more flexible and easier for everyone to benefit from.
