Make Federal Election Days a national holiday or move them to the following weekend.

Created by C.J. on January 16, 2016

Many people don't vote because they can't get off work and many states have inadequate polling to handle the surge of voters in the evening. If elections were a holiday, no one would have an excuse not to vote and more people would be able to volunteer. Also, we need to have online voting. Mailing ballots is arcane and needs to be eliminated. Most votes should be submitted online before election day so people can vote when they have time and in their own home. People can just as easily prove their identity online as in person and many people have health and other reasons that getting to a polling place is a major burden.
