I petition the US Government to make it Federal law that it is illegal to fire someone on the bases of their sexual orientation or their gender identity. Further more, I petition the US Government to make any discrimination on the bases of sexual orientation or gender identity to be illegal be it in buying/renting a home, checking into a hotel, dining in a restaurant, etc. The fact that in 29 states you can be fired for being gay/transgender is appalling and a violation of one's civil and human rights. The fact that you can be refused services like dining or renting a hotel room is equally appalling. End the discrimination. Equal rights for all.
