I would like to petition President Obama and congress to create a Federally sponsored national lottery program with all proceeds to rebuild the country's infrastructure and create jobs.
The United Kingdom successful implemented a similar program for the Olympics. They raised a lot of money for their teams and went from winning 47 medals in 2008 to 65 in 2012. A national lottery could be highly successful in the U.S. and in time it could even grow to a grand prize of one billion dollars.
There is much potential in this idea still, the key is to raise enough money to build/fix highways, update mass transportation systems, and develop new forms of clean energy that will create jobs and keep our country moving forward without placing a burden on citizens.
