take immediate legislative action to in the form of a new law that will hold weapons owners legally accountable for failure to keep their weapons secure and inaccessible. I ask for a specific law that penalizes gun owners for failing to properly secure and keep accountability of their weapons. If children, mentally, morally, and emotionally unstable members of society did not have access to firearms there are countless lives that would have been saved over the last decade. The problem is not Americans owning and carrying guns. The problem is many of those gun owners do not properly secure and keep accountability of those weapons. And THOSE!! Individuals need to be held legally accountable.
