Make the the first Monday of November Federal Election Day a National Holiday to promote widespread voter participation.

Given the unprecedented effort nationwide and in many states to suppress without justification the right to vote we the citizens of these United States hereby request that:

It be resolved that the foundation of all other rights is the right to vote and that many have shed their blood to protect and expand this sacred right and that in that spirit—Election Day be moved to the first Monday in November to secure the blessings of liberty and preserve this democracy and promote the ideals of self governance of, by and for the people.
