make first time drug offenders go to treatment instead of jail regardless of what drug charge it is.

Created by J.G. on January 02, 2012

Drug addicts who are incarcerated do not get the help they need. First time offenders have the chance to change through treatment. Jail is not a sufficient way to make them sober. It makes them want to do it more. Research shows that jail does not help an addict. Instead of jail time allow them the treatment option so that we can stop the chains of addiction and slowly end the use of drugs. Nobody can do it alone and they need our help.
