Make the first Tuesday in November, the day reserved for the Federal Election every four years, to be a Federal holiday.

Created by D.W. on January 20, 2015

To make the first Tuesday of November, the Federal Election Day in which registered voters vote in the Presidential election, to be declared a National Holiday in order to facilitate better participation in our civic responsibilities.

This National Voters Holiday would be extended to mid-term elections as well.

While registered voters are given time to participate in the election process by their employers, this is inadequate in our modern society. Having a day off to perform this civic duty, and manage one's personal life easier would be a benefit for our nation, and promote citizenship.
