Whereas the Memphis City Council, is trying to change the name of several parks inside the Memphis City Limits, and
Whereas it is the right of all US citizens to know of their Heritage no matter which side someone fought on.
Whereas this is the resting place of a veteran General of Civil War.
Whereas it has been know as Forrest Park for over 100 years. and
Whereas Nathan Bedford Forrest did do several public minded actions after the Civil War.
Therefor should this park be forever more known as The Nathan Bedford Forest Nation Park, and registered as such so that the name can never be changed, to help in keeping history alive.
