Executive Order 13514 requires Federal agencies to create annual Strategic Sustainability Performance Plans (SSPPs). Performance.gov states "In furtherance of the Administration’s commitment to transparency, the annual Sustainability Plans are publically accessible." This was true in 2010 and 2011, but in 2012 OMB required agencies to submit two versions of the plan. The "public" version, published on the website, is a watered down document that mostly shows past performance, and very little "plan".
This petition strives to encourage the Administration to once again make the full SSPPs publicly available so citizens can see what steps Federal agencies are taking to meet sustainability requirements and goals.
